Bio
Gaia Del Santo (b.1999) is an artist, writer, and researcher based in Zurich. Tracing the links between branding, femininity as spectacle, and the Anglo-American grip on social media, her practice assays the workings of platform-mediated identity culture. She holds a Master in Visual Arts from the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from the Zurich University of the Arts. She has exhibited at Kunsthaus Langenthal, Langenthal (CH, 2026); Galerie Kramer, Paris (FR, 2026); Treize, Paris (FR, 2025); Sentiment, Zurich (CH, 2025); Burned Out, Basel (CH, 2025); Halmet, Zurich (CH, 2024 and 2025); Last Tango, Zurich (CH, 2023); Espace Arlaud, Lausanne (CH, 2023); lower_cavity, Holyoke (US, 2022); Kunsthaus Glarus, Glarus (CH, 2021); Toxi Space, Zurich (CH, 2021), among others, and opened her second solo exhibition Acme Studios at marytwo, Lucerne (CH, 2024). She was invited to speak at the OUT IN THE LOOP pop cultures festival and was part of the artist-run curatorial project Toxi in Zurich. Her third solo exhibition Always Greener with Tribeca Gallery, New York City (US, 2026) will open in September.
