amelia’s algorithmic realism is a photography series in which I explore how the aesthetic labor performed by users increasingly mimics the strategies and formats used by brands to boost their metrics. Blending fashion styling, storytelling, and marketing logics, the semi-fictional character Amelia E. Bellwether is a lens through which I unpack the zaniness of algorithmic subjects, auto-fiction as a structuring condition of platform-mediated identity culture, and my own extraartistic endeavors. This series is realized in collaboration with artist and stylist Carolina Misztela, and media strategist Amelia E. Bellwether.
