"The names of the nail polishes promise a romantic tropical vacation and individuality. At the same time, they are displayed around the globe in the same austere brand displays, owned by a multinational corporation. Interestingly, the shade 820 swoon in the lagoon is sold out. Either the color is very much in vogue, or a particularly large number of people are deeply longing for a vacation at the moment. With the flash cell phone photos, the supposedly neglected composition and technical execution, Del Santo refers to Nathan Jurgenson’s theory of social photography.
