still lifes 8-13
Collage, Text, Print
Casting Days, Burned Out, Basel, February 25th – April 8th 2025

The still lifes 8–13 develop directly from the earlier works of the same series begun in 2024, retaining their formal structure while introducing a new element: text. Lifted from the lexicon of marketing speak, lifestyle media, and self-optimization culture, these fragments („PEAK performance,“ „STORY TIME,“ „STAGE“) are dropped onto the mat not as titles or captions but as co-inhabitants of the image. They do not explain the clippings; they address them and the viewer in the same tone of knowing, aspirational directness that characterizes the culture under scrutiny.
